But Is She Really Thrifty: One ingredient homemade ice cream

This is such a fun "recipe".  It's very, very easy--although not much to look at.  And it passed the test, my husband licked his plate--so I feel safe to pass it along.
One Ingredient Ice Cream
At least one banana (preferably a really ripe one)
*Optional: 1 tablespoon of cocoa
*Optional: 1 tablespoon of creamy peanut butter
*Optional: a dash of vanilla

Slice the banana into thin slices (so they look like circles, not the long way) and put them on some freezer paper (or something else non-stick) in the freezer. Let them freeze for 1-2 hours. Don't let them freezer overnight.  Put them in the food processor (or blender) and process them until they're creamy.  It makes kind of a custard rather than ice cream.  After it's blended you can add any of your add ins.  Basically anything you like on a banana or with a banana add it in!  Yes. It does taste like banana so it's better to use an overripe banana.
