But Is She Really Thirfty: Valentine's Day part 1

Sometimes being thrifty during holidays can be such a bummer.  Luckily though, love is free!  For Valentine's day this year we made handprints for all of our loved ones.  We used red paint we already had and put paint on my children's hands (warning: have another adult there to help you with little guys.  My one year old was covered in kids-safe paint by the end. Even with my husband's help!).  Then we just pressed their painted hands onto cardstock.  Then I printed out this poem I found online on nice scrapbook paper, cut out the handprints and made a cute little gift!  Here is the poem I used:

This isn't just a valentine
As you can plainly see
It is of course my handprint
Which is a part of me
It's bigger than the last one
Smaller than the next will be
Given to you with lots of love
From sweet and precious me
This, coupled with a free photo collage from Walgreens (see yesterday's post), should make a fun and personal (and free!) Valentine's day gifts for everyone on your list.
